This chocolate mousse is not only raw and vegan, but it’s also sugar-free. It could possibly be the healthiest chocolate mousse in the world!
Yesterday I found out that today is chocolate’s official birthday. Yep. I’m not making this up. July 7th is World Chocolate Day! Today supposedly marks 467 years since chocolate was first introduced to Europe. How accurate is that? I’m not sure. But who cares! Being the chocoholic that I am, how could I possibly let this day go by without some kind of celebration?
I made this chocolate mousse years ago, when I first quit sugar and was preparing all kinds of sugar-free desserts on a daily basis to satisfy my sugar cravings without breaking my commitment.
I sweetened it just with the bananas I used as a base, but if you’re used to sweeter desserts feel free to add a little maple syrup or your favorite healthy sweetener of choice. Or add a few dates to the food processor instead. Or leave it as it is and train your tastebuds to be satisfied with the healthy, mild, delicious and completely natural sugar in fruits!
Making it will take just a few minutes of your time. Then pop it in the fridge and wait till it sets. Very little effort in exchange for a large amount of satisfaction.
Happy World Chocolate Day!
